Scotland part 2

Kia Ora guys I’m way behind on where we have been so I’ll just talk about the fun stuff and I will have to wait till I get home because I have missed like 3 weeks on what we have been up to. Right now we are in Italy Florence. Don’t worry I only have about another 3 weeks then I’m home.

The next day after the two hop-on hop-off busses, we went on another tour to Stirling I have no clue where that is (LOL). We had a great tour guide he was a typical Scotsman. We got off the bus and some Americans asked where the washroom was and he said no you are in Scotland we say the bog then Nan said she and her siblings used to call it the sh beep beep house and we all just started laughing out loud. The best part about every tour has been the HAIRY COOS! It’s basically a big fat hairy cow with horns and a terrible smell.

Our next stop for the day is Stirling Castle it had some of the coolest details ever and so much to see. First, we went to the dungeon that had a dress-up room, a music room, and some jail cells for Mum and Dad. The next stop was the kitchen. The kitchen had a whole bunch of creepy statues of the cooks and some yucky-looking food. Now it’s time to take Mum and Dad to their cells. We went down to the end of the castle where there were some more cells and even a weird room full of barrels and that was it.

After we were done at the castle we went back home to sleep.

The next day we went to Blair Castle where my Great-grandfather was from and where some more of my great-grandfathers were from they were also the Duke of Blair Castle at least that’s what Mum said and now she’s not.

Outside my sister bought me a New Zealand flag for my birthday to fly outside of the Castle with a picture of my nana’s parents and that was a bit embarrassing because everyone was staring at us but anyway it’s over now. Inside was really cool because the second room had a family tree of the murry’s which is my nan’s last name. The last room was my favorite because it was the ballroom where the fun dancing happened.

The next day we went to the town where my family was from and there was also a painting of one of my great-grandfathers on a wall.

The next week we went on a 3-day tour up in the Highlands and we had the best tour guide ever No one could beat him.

Anyway, guys that’s all for today miss you guys. A te wa kia pai to ra.

Scotland photos

Hi, guys I’m back with the photos from yesterday’s post make sure to see that first.

Here is the Queen’s Gallery where she was left for one night that day was freezing. I think Poppa is back in the army again or maybe trying to guard the King.

Next is the random monument that we went to I have no clue what the name of this place is so sorry. After that, we went to another Cathedral right next to it, and then after that is Edinburgh Castle. Inside was some fantastic architecture with a lot of detail and even a golden eagle.

Our last stop for the day was Edinburgh Castle which was where they had the Military Tatoo and it was also my favorite part of the day. They also used this place as a base for when they had big battles. At the bottom of the hill, there was a man playing his bagpipes in his kilt with his big furry hat.

Anyway, guys that has to be all for today miss you guys I’ll post some more when you guys are back at school hopefully I remember. A te wa kia pai to ra

Miss you guys!

Scotland

Sorry guys I’ve been a bit lazy the last few weeks but I’m back and hope you guys had a good holiday.

On our first day in Scotland, we went on the hop-on hop-off bus and I think we did too much that day my legs were in terrible pain. Our first stop is the Holy Rood where the Queen’s body was left there for a night and then was flown back out to Buckingham it’s also where the Priminister of Scotland lives. Stop number 2 Edinburgh Castle. A few weeks before we went to Scotland, we were going to the Military Tattoo at the stadium right in front of the Castle that was built on top of an extinct volcano. This Castle was built 920 years ago in 1103! That’s ages ago! That’s ancient as! like really really old! Stop number 3 I have no clue what the names are of these places but here’s a tall monument with our Pahi in the background. Stop number 4 another Cathedral with basically not that much inside so that’s a blow. After that, our next stop for Nan, pop and I is home Mum and Dad wanted to go see another Cathedral but not me I’ve had enough for now. I think my favorite part of Today was Edinburgh Castle and the Holy Rood. Now the fun continues on to day 2.

Day 2 were going to Glasgow the biggest city in Scotland and were doing another hop-on hop-off bus

Our first stop is another Cathedral I don’t know the name of this place but I do know that all these places have very nice architecture inside. The next stop is an art gallery I think (LoL) we didn’t go inside because we didn’t have time or we missed the bus. Stop 3 is a place that looks like the Sydney Opera House a little bit. I have to say the best and most relaxing part of today has to be the train ride about an hour’s ride and it gives your legs a rest.

Day 3 we went on another tour up to the world’s biggest horse monument, Loch Lomond, saw some Hairy Coos, and then went to another castle with a typical Scotsmen. I don’t really know much about the horse world’s biggest horse monument but I do about Loch Lomond. There’s a song called The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond and the course tells the story behind it. You take the high road and I’ll take the low and I’ll be in Scotland afore ye for ye and my true love will never meet again on The Bonnie Bonnie banks of Loch Loman That’s how the Course goes. So there were two brothers at war and they were captured and the order was given and one of them had to die and one of them lived. The brothers had an argument over who would die because the older brother had a wife and children and the younger didn’t so the older brother knocked his brother out and the guards shot him which meant the older one had taken the low road. When his little brother woke up he found his older brother hung up on the wall dead. Before he died he left his brother a note I forgot what it was but that’s all for this post if you guys get a chance after blogs just  make sure to listen to the course

Miss you guys very much hope you guys had a good holiday hopefully, I remember to do part 2 we were in Scotland for 2 weeks cause my great-grandfather is from Blair Castle A te wa kai pai to ra

Miss you guys!

Photos

Hi guys here are all the photos that Mr photographer took.

First, this was the castle that was in front of our window in our room. At night time when all the cruise ships and the boats were coming in they couldn’t see that little island in the dark so they put a castle there so if they hit it they had somewhere to stay until help came. The castle was known as the Tower of Refuge.

This is the Kilmainham Gaol jail where that little baby was put in jail. The first three photos are in the main area and the last two are in someone’s ofice.

Here was the courtyard and next door was the place where only three 19 to 20-year-old boys were shot and the girls had to do the housekeeping.

Blarney Castle where Mum and Dad kissed a rock I didn’t want to walk all the way up there so Nan and I waited down the bottom while they went and did there thing.

I hope I get my parents back they really are naughty criminals. Mum and Dad look like the main victims

Here were the cliffs of Moher and I was freezing up here.

This was our Leprechaun tour guide with his Leprechaun hat. He told us how to say good luck in the Leprechaun language which is po ke mon which actually means kis my a… You know what I mean. It was so funny that has to be the top highlight of my trip.

Here we had just landed after a 15-minute flight to the Isle of Man and so my Dad, Poppa and I went on the TT race course with the TT trikes and we went up to the highest point of the TT race course and had the best time. There motors arnt as good as the ones in Paihia but there roads are perfect for going fast they dont have any speed limit on the highest point of the course and some places are nice and wide and windy. The statue at the top of the hill was Joey Dunlop who won the TT races 26 times. His nephew has won the race 25 times so far. He did not win this year, but there are many who believe he will not only equal his uncle’s record but will beat it.

Here was werewe had our horse ride and we went back up the top past the highest point of the race course and went to the highest point of the island which stands at 2034 feet. It took us about 10 minutes on the horse carraige and the 20 minutes up half the mountain and then another 25 to the top. After that we made our way back down the mountain on the train and that was the end of the day.

After all this were now in Scotland anyway that’s all for today a te wa, kia pai to ra

My week in Ireland and Isle of Man

Hi guys I miss you all too.

This week Mum just did a whole bunch of day tours in Ireland. First, we went to the giant Causeway and had lunch in a pub cause that was all there. We wrote on the Belfast wall. We also went to where the Titanic was built. The next day we went to Blarney Castle where you kiss the stone but I was too lazy to walk up the hill so Nan and I waited down the bottom for Mum, Dad, and Pop. The next day we went on the hop-on hop-off bus and we went to see the Kilmainham gaol which was very sad A 3-year-old boy was put in prison for being for food and he had no parents. and the last day we went to the cliffs of Moher and drove along the wild Atlantic Way.

The next day we flew into the Isle of Man and went on the TT race tracks on a trike around parts of the course Man it was fast but fun. Only Dad, Pop and I went on it because Nan and Mum were too scared. If mum went on it her undies would be full. We went on an old electric train up to the highest point of the island and returned on a horse carriage The poor horse had a full carriage.

Today we are flying the Edinburgh, Scotland. Anyway, I miss you all heaps see you later. I’ll send photos soon in a separate post because I’m at the airport and the internet is not very good.

meeting our friends

Hi, guys today we are going out to see some good friends of Mum’s Stayce and Curk, and their children in Richmond – London. For lunch, Stayce made hot chips with a salad and some weird pizza-shaped things with stuff in them all I ate was the hot chips because with some water everything else was yuck. My favorite part was chatting with their oldest daughter Mila and her little sister Ola who was very silly and their boy Ahi was at the rugby game England vs Fiji and on Tuesday were meeting up with them and were going somewhere with them I think. Anyway, that’s all for today see you later.

Buckingham Palace

Hi guys. Today we went on the hop-on hop-off bus. The first place we visited was Kensington Palace where Princess Diana lived and her son, William and his family too. At 12:00 we went into the palace and had a look at everything that was inside there. All that was inside the Palace was a whole bunch of dresses that people wore to balls and a bunch of artwork on the walls. Mum thought it was a waste of money because she expected to see more stuff of Princess Diana – but there was nothing!

After Kensington Palace, we went to Buckingham Palace, and it was really, really, like really flash! We were not allowed to take photos inside this palace though. There were murals on the ceilings, lots of portraits and paintings of Prince William’s great great great great great grandparents and whanau who lived more than 500 years ago! There were swords and lots of statues of Prince William’s whanau who have died too – all carved out of solid marble. We got to see the changing of the guards, and the guards on their horses too – that was really cool.

Universal Studios

Today we went to Universal Studios here in Singapore. Here at Universal Studios, they don’t have that many rides in total they properly have about 8 to 10 rides but most of them are big rides. My favorite ride was the Cyclone it’s a ride that you hang out of your seat and go flying into the sky and do a whole bunch of loops and spins. My second favorite ride was the rapids. The rapids are where you hop into a round boat and you float down a whole bunch of rapid rivers. At the end of the ride, you go through a tunnel and you stop at the end of a corner and you go up and there’s a dinosaur head at the top and you are pushed off by the wall and you go down a slide and you get all wet at the end getting wet on an extremely hot day sounded nice to me. Anyway, that’s all for today see you guys later.

First day in Singapore

Hi, guys, today is our first day in Singapore and it’s so! hot here. Today we didn’t do that much here other than go on a tour around all the Asian temples, the Muslim temples, and the big water boat houses. We also went to my poppa’s old army base and got to stand by the signs where he played cricket with all his mates. The best part about being here in Singapore is how everything is so clean. The worst part about being here in Singapore is the heat. Over here it’s about 32 degrees but it feels more like 100. Anyway, that’s all for today see you guys in 2 months.

Today

It’s Monday and Whaea Emma is still not here I just have one more day in room 6. The best part about being in room six with the little kids is how much they like us being with them. My least favorite part about being with the little kids is that they don’t want to leave you they want to sit next to you, play with you, and help them with all their work. After a while, it can get a little annoying. But it’s fun having them around for most of the week. Anyway, that’s all for today. see you later.
